Stephanie J. Block, nominated for the third time, this year for playing an iteration of Cher in The Cher Show—said she worked significantly with Cher throughout the process of creating the show. “She has been everything to work with. We have gone through when she was very apprehensive. We’ve experienced when she’s been fearful or doubting. We have been around her when she has totally let herself be free and excited about the show. Much like any dear friend or family member, I have been privileged to see every sort of emotion and color of Cher.” She said she remembers vividly taking out all the nominees in her category—along with Laura Osnes—when she was nominated for the first time. “We all just see each other as hardworking actors, and we enjoy the ride,” she said.
